Pitt Partners for Health (PPH)
Pitt Partners for Health (PPH) was established in 1995 as a community health partnership with representatives from local churches, businesses, communities, and health and social support organizations. These representatives are dedicated to improving the health of Pitt County residents through assessment, resource identification and development, citizen advocacy, comprehensive planning and coordination of health improvement and prevention strategies.
Health priorities are determined every 3 years and are based on the results from the Pitt County Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). The preparation of the Pitt County CHNA is a joint effort between Pitt Partners for Health, ECU Health Medical Center, Pitt County Health Department, and the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. PPH serves a critical role in assuring that the community has a collective voice in addressing the most compelling health needs in Pitt County.
